Physical Therapy

1-on-1 personalized treatment

What do Physical Therapists do?

Physical therapists are movement experts that provide treatment through skilled clinical examinations, manual therapy, exercise prescription, and patient education, to help you achieve optimal function and performance.

A thorough Clinical Examination is performed to assess everything from specific movement analysis (such as running video analysis), strength, range of motion, flexibility, balance, coordination, muscular recruitment patterns, and more to come up with a diagnosis regarding what might be causing your pain and/or dysfunction.

Manual Therapy may include joint mobilizations/manipulations, functional dry needling, soft tissue mobilization (massage, cupping, etc), stretching, and taping. One or a combination of these may be included within a typical treatment session based on what you and the PT decide is best for you.

Exercise Prescription includes guidance on home exercise programs, pre- or post-activity recommendations, within session use of the LoHi Athletic Club and it’s equipment, strength training programming, and more.

Hour long sessions

The mission of Colorado Athlete Physical Therapy is to provide personalized physical therapy without strict limitations on time.

Many clinics that take insurance are limited in their time to treat, some as short as 20 to 30-minutes, and often patients are handed over to an aide or assistant after any manual therapy is completed. Having a longer treatment time allows for a more holistic approach- we can focus on you! Pain is not only a physical limitation, but also emotional, social and mental. So let’s address all of it!

Not only will you be with a Physical Therapist for the full hour (first session allow for 75 minutes), but time and energy is spent between sessions researching the literature, thinking about the best evidence based practice, consulting with other experts, taking continuing education courses, and formulating a plan for each session. The dedication to you and your goals extends far beyond the walls of the clinic and the hour that we spend together.

$195 per session or $710 for a 4-pack

Other Services

  • Running Analysis

Putting one foot in front of the other seems simple, but running and other movements are actually quite complex. Video analysis can identify movement strategies, both good and bad, as well as help hypothesize any potential risk for injury.

Runners will run on a treadmill (most commonly) or outside, and be assessed from multiple angles through video. By pausing the video, looking at joint position and other critical phases of the running gait, we are able to determine appropriate exercises and/or cues.

    Included in cost of session.

  • Dry Needling

Sometimes all you need is a tune up. Come in for a quick 30 minute dry needling session for just $75. (4-Packs available for $270)

Note: Intended for those who have already undergone a full evaluation and have an established plan of care.

  • Athlete Workshops and Seminars

Join for one or several of the Colorado Athlete’s workshops or seminars. Stay tuned for upcoming dates.
